Troy Jackson is a fifth-generation logger, lifelong labor champion, and former President of the Maine Senate who has spent his career fighting for working people.
Raised in Allagash in a logging family, Troy followed his father and generations before him into the woods, working long hours running equipment, driving trucks, and cutting timber. His path into politics began with a fight for working people: after watching wealthy landowners squeeze Maine loggers and use cheaper Canadian labor to drive down wages, Troy helped organize workers demanding fair treatment.
That experience convinced him that working people needed their own voice in government.
Troy went on to spend 20 years in the Maine Legislature, including six years as Senate President. He fought to lower prescription drug costs, protect union jobs, expand rural healthcare, provide universal school meals, deliver property-tax relief, protect Maine’s environment, and strengthen reproductive rights.
Throughout his career, Troy has continued to represent rural communities where many voters support Republicans at the national level, giving him firsthand experience building support across traditional partisan lines.
Now he’s running for the U.S. Senate to bring that same working-class voice to Washington. His campaign is focused on lowering healthcare and prescription-drug costs, strengthening workers’ rights, making wealthy corporations pay their fair share, protecting reproductive freedom and civil rights, and shifting political power back toward the people who work for a living.
In a race that could help determine control of the Senate, Troy offers Maine voters a fundamentally different kind of leadership: rooted in the communities he represents, shaped by decades of fighting for working families, and focused on making government work for people who too often get ignored.
Susan Collins lied to Mainers. She helped destroy Roe v. Wade, she advanced Trump's $990 billion Medicaid cuts, and she gave ICE $70 billion continue its rogue terror campaign.
Together, we will replace her with a Senator who gives a damn about working people in this country.
